Prevention Education:
Girls Living a Mission

Through partnership with Pitt County Schools, Beaufort County Schools, Martin County Schools, and Juvenile Justice in Beaufort County, Daughters of Worth serves more than 500 girls (elementary-high school) in the GLAM Program.

GLAM Girls (Girls Living a Mission) provides girls with a safe, nurturing environment where they can truly begin to know their worth, discover their strengths and skills, learn how to invest in healthy relationships, acquire tools for resilience, engage in service-learning opportunities, discover how to practice safety online, and develop leadership skills for a lifetime. All middle and high school participants receive trafficking prevention, substance use prevention, and teen dating violence/domestic violence awareness. Through hands-on activities, book club discussion, engaging sessions, group projects, guest speakers, journal reflections, and relevant session topics, participants not only find a safe haven within their group, but access to other services Daughters of Worth provides.

By surrounding girls with a tribe of women to support her through her journey, advocate for her needs, and empower her to use her own voice, GLAM Girls are finding strength in their own stories and power in their dreams!

In addition, GLAM Girls have the opportunity to earn recognition, prizes, and awards through demonstration of strong character, serving their communities, and reaching benchmarks. By providing girls incentives and awards throughout the year, GLAM Girls are learning the value of strong work ethic, perseverance, and the joy of celebrating their success!
